Assessment notices are mailed every year in February. These notices contain pertinent information to your property such as the Assessed and Taxable Values for the new year; Principal Residence Exemption information; any transfer of ownership; any new or loss of value to your property; and the appeal dates for the March Board of Review. We advise you to read the notice and call the Assessor’s office if you have any questions. Your tax bill will be based on the new Taxable Value. If you disagree with the values, you may appeal to the March Board of Review for a hearing. The Board asks that you make an appointment with the Assessor’s office prior to the meeting. You may complete the petition form prior to the meeting. The Board also meets in July and December of each year for the purpose of correcting clerical errors and mutual mistake of fact, the exact dates and times to be published.
